Oris AquisPro Date Calibre 400

Introducing the Aquis Pro Date Calibre 400

The Oris in-house Calibre 400 has now found a new home in Oris’s professional diver’s watch, the AquisPro Date. Designed to equip professional divers during saturation dives where safety and mechanical excellence are fundamental, there is no doubt that the AquisPro Date is the most natural home for the high-performance Calibre 400. With notably high levels of anti-magnetism, an impressive five-day power reserve and a 10-year guarantee with recommended 10-year service intervals, the Calibre 400 is a product of mechanical excellence, engineered for the modern world.

Already a famed watch within the diving community, the AquisPro Date, now with Calibre 400, has also heightened its specification in other areas of the watch. The patented Rotation Safety System, known as RSS, is an exclusive Oris mechanism commissioned by the professional diving community. It enables the uni-directional rotating bezel to be adjusted and locked into place so that remaining dive time can be read with the utmost confidence. The substantial rubber grip ensures operation with ease by a gloved diver and the legibility during low light is heightened with the yellow and white minutes scale engraved into the ceramic bezel.

The 49.5mm case is made from high-grade, lightweight titanium for added comfort, and the rubber strap with Oris Safety Anchor and Oris Sliding Sledge clasp means fine adjustments can be made with comfort and safety in mind.

The new AquisPro Date Calibre 400 sets the standard in divers watches. Engineered with high-performance movements and devices created in-house by Oris, this has to be up at the top with the leading Swiss Made mechanical watches.

Fresh Hope and a Fresh Palette

We couldn’t help but smile when Oris revealed the new Divers Sixty-Five ‘Cotton Candy’, a fresh new palette embracing Spring and new hope of a brighter future for us all. The all-bronze case, bezel, crown, and bracelet originally engineered for the Hölstein Edition 2020 has been enhanced with an eye-popping palette of coloured dials in either sky blue, wild green or lipstick pink. Super-Luminova® fills the hands and indices for added luminosity in low light and the watch is water-resistant to 100 metres. With the option of either a brown leather strap or multi-piece bronze bracelet, the natural patina of the bronze over time creates its own story, one which we all hope will be much brighter moving forwards. Designed with warmth and optimism in mind, these unisex 38mm models are a vision of joy.

Continuing to bring Change for the Better

As a continuation of Oris’s Change for the Better campaign, Oris’s latest project is with the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS), an organisation covering Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands that strives to conserve the Wadden Sea. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest unbroken tidal flat system and holds significant importance to global biodiversity. To support this partnership, Oris has developed the Dat Watt Limited Edition, Dat Watt meaning ‘the Wadden Sea’ in low German.

Based on the Oris Aquis diver’s watch, the Dat Watt is limited to 2,009 pieces, representing the year that the Wadden Sea was awarded World Heritage Site status. The gradient blue/grey dial displays the lunar cycle in the Northern Hemisphere via the Oris-developed Pointer Moon function. Developed specifically for professional divers, it operates by using a central white pointer hand which, when aligned with the correct day in the lunar cycle, shows the corresponding tidal range via the white outline on the dial, as well as the waxing and waning of the moon.

Most importantly of all, funds raised by the sale of this significant timepiece will help finance a project of huge importance to the CWSS, to protect the Wadden Sea and raise awareness of its importance to the conservation of biodiversity and ecological and geological processes.
