This year, Swiss brand Baume & Mercier is building on the success of its 2018 in-house Baumatic collection with five new models. The Baumatic collection was certainly big news for the company last year, setting new benchmarks in its history thanks to a five-day power-reserve, anti-magnetism to 1,500 Gauss, and precision of -4/+6 seconds a day.

Each of the new Clifton Baumatic models unveiled at the salon today house the enhanced BM13 version of the Baumatic calibre. We’re especially enamoured of the Clifton Baumatic Cadran Blue, featuring an eye-catching and very on-trend blue-to-black gradated sunburst dial alongside a white minute track and rhodium-plated hands. The 40mm watch comes on either a black alligator leather strap or a five-row steel bracelet with a triple folding clasp, as seen here. It’s also certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute, which is distinguishable thanks to a discreet white crosshair on the dial. Baume & Mercier’s Clifton collection is always popular among our customers, and this handsome new model provides understated elegance and high-performance watchmaking at a really accessible price point.
