Breitling Brings In The Summer With New Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise Capsule Collection

This season, luxury watch brand Breitling has decided to inject some much-needed brightness into our lives and have introduced some new colourways and styles to their Superocean Heritage ’57 range. These are the perfect pieces to see us through the warmer months, and with several hues to choose from, there will be a sweet piece for every watch enthusiast.

Last year we saw the launch of the Superocean Heritage ’57 capsule collection that paid homage to a timepiece first launched in 1957, and reinvented over the last six decades, via a webcast presented by their CEO Georges Kern.

The original Superocean watch was designed and released at a time when the world began to crave adventure again and a new world was on the horizon. The designs of the cars were big, bold and outlandish, and space-age aesthetics was taking over. Exploration of the sea, ocean and the like were also on the rise, and so Breitling designed two ground-breaking pieces that were powerful diver watches with mainstream style and appeal. Both named Superocean, these two watches embodied two different visions of nautical sports: the elegant time-only (Ref. 1004) intended for the gentleman who cared about his style even while at the beach, while the sportier chronograph (Ref. 807) was definitively more for the seasoned diver who needed a watch for performance and reliability.

Breitling’s latest reincarnation of the classic Superocean, joining the Superocean Heritage ’57 range, gives us a fresh twist on the classic. This new range, designed for women, gives us an abundance of colour peppered with styling and detailing that borrows from its past. The 38mm steel case features a rotating bezel and bold indices, both indicators of a dive watch, and the beautiful tonal dials come in an entirely Summery palette including summer white, aquamarine, mint green, and iced latte.

There is also a show-stopping tangerine version with hour markers and hands coated in Super-LumiNova®, that sings in hues of yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, red, and orange. If you want a custom colour combination, you’ll love the quick-exchange system for swapping out the luxe Saffiano calfskin leather straps, which you can purchase in lemon and raspberry sorbet colourways, giving you a pop of complementary colour that just oozes Sunshine and good vibes.
